Ian Merrick

IAN MERRICK: (short summary) Born in London England, Ian is the developer, owner and the leading exponent of the Intellectual Property to the Epiphany Secured Movie Fund and the founder of the Epiphany Secured Movie Fund, finance methodology. Ian will head up the film production division, impix, acting as its Chairman and Chief Executive.

Prior to creating impix, Ian has had a career spanning more than 35 years on the cutting edge of independent movie producing, writing and directing, both in the UK and USA, including projects with EMI UK and time as a Resident Director for Zoetrope Studios, "The Godfather," "Apocalypse Now," and Director in Charge of Special Projects at Hemdale: "Terminator" "Platoon," "Last Emperor," all Academy Award winners. Amongst others, Ian notably developed the original concept for "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" and also wrote the original concept and first draft screenplay, which became "Flashdance." Ian has won many awards including and which he is most covetous of, the Cannes Festival Most Promising Director Award 1979. The "Eagle Award" Best Director, Ontario Film Festival 1981 and the "Visionary Spirit Award", Sacramento Film Festival 2006. Indeed through Ian’s creative activities and associations, he has been responsible for causing, directly and indirectly, many successes for the movie industry.
